The schedule for AltDevConf 2012, an online conference running by those volunteers making game development going forwards, is out and it will be held on 11-12 February 2012 from 11.00 PST/19.00 GMT - 16.00 PST/23.00 GMT.
My session is on Sunday 12th, 15.00 PST, the last session of AltDevConf.
Pretty exciting and get a little bit of nervous as those speakers are really experts and well known in game industry. For example, a guy like Alex Champandard who organizes and maintains AiGameDev.com which has held a lot of online AI live classes in which I’ve attended so many of them also took part in speaking in this event as well. There’re also other interesting speakers in the house in which game developers would not like to miss.I would spend my time for AltDevConf fully for both days, and it’s a best thing as my session is the last one, so I can attend all sessions without much worrying about the preparation of my own session.
Jason Harris, advisory committee for Design & Production Track of AltDevConf which is the group my session fits in, already arranged the meeting on getting used to presentation software, walk through and speeches run next week.
*For you guys interest to know more about my topic, please read along.
The topics listed there is “Junk Master Series : Design Approaches, Issues, and Best practices”. I will talk and share my experience over working on 3 games in the series.
Junk Master : The Journey to Junk Lord (PC)
Junk Master : The Quest to Glory (WP7)
Junk Master : The Mission of Recovery (Facebook)
I will share the perspective in design, issues found, and how we tackle those. The talk will focus more on design and go a little deep into design elements or compartments of the games themselves. I bet the game names may not be heard by most people in Europe, but anyway I believe I could share something with you all. At any rate, I hope you guys would enjoy the talk and found them useful enough to be able to adapt to your own works or such.
I’m looking forward to see you guys in the conference on both days !
